Hmm . . . I'm gonna say Kevn Kinney, for one. If Keith Christopher or Andy Hess are involved, I'm intrigued.

I think Andy's a good guess--I know Kevn was working with him some time ago and nothing came of it....

So the same Andy Hess that played with Gov't Mule & The Black Crowes? If so, EXCELLENT! I am wondering who might be on the drumkit (if there is a drumkit).

Unless he's doing something totally different now, Keith Christopher is still playing with Dan Baird & Homemade Sin.

Also, has Shayni Rae's Truckstop called it a day or do they still play?

He's also in the Yahoos with Dan Baird, Eric Ambel, and Terry Williams. The Yahoos only seem to play occasionally but if you get the chance, don't miss them.

The Yayhoos opened for dnc on a run of summer dates in 1995 (before WIS).

When I saw the Hilton Head show, I didn't know who was opening. My first thought was, "who's that girly looking guy?" Then he opened his mouth, and I said, "ah . . . Dan Baird."

I got the name Keith Christopher off of Kevn's facebook page . . .

I tell you, one could make a seriously awesome NYC all-star band of the folks who played at the Nat'l Underground . . . Catherine Popper, Jon Graboff, Andy Hess, Anton Fier, and on and on . . .

Since Warren lives in NYC, maybe Kevn could get some material for a roots/jam-oriented record like "STAR" meets "Flower and the Knife."

Kevn, Warren, Andy Hess, Anton, and Joey Huffman.

Make it happen!

Has Kevn played at Eric Ambel's Lakeside (or whatever it's called) since he's been in NYC?

I'm so far underwater right now: Tabernacle, Delta Queen, 4 Netherlands, + Kevn in SF (too many details are unfinalized right now to announce anything). That's almost 4 months in the best case....

Mr. Aaron Lee Tasjan passed this information along to me:

"Mexican Dirtweed is Brett Bass on bass, Phil Cimino on drums & Jon Loyd on keys...basically it's Chris Barron's backing band. They are a fuzz rock band from what I hear though I've never seen them play."

Chris Barron was The Spin Doctors lead singer. http://www.chrisbarron.com http://www.myspace.com/thechrisbarron http://www.myspace.com/timebandits5

Phil: http://www.myspace.com/philcimino

Jon: http://www.myspace.com/jonloyd

I can't find a website for Brett.
