The Who

The Who are to tour in 2011 & will incorporate their famous rock opera ‘Quadrophenia’ into their set.
Despite suggestions the group may stop performing, singer Roger Daltrey insists he & bandmate Pete Townshend want to keep going until they are physically unable to perform.
He told Billboard.com “We've got ideas... We're looking on probably being out there, hopefully if all goes well, in the spring of next year. We definitely don't want to stop. We feel it's the role of the artist to go all the way through life 'til you can't do it anymore."
Daltrey acknowledged there are issues with re-creating ‘Quadrophenia’ - which the band performed in its entirety as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust benefit concerts in March at London’s Royal Albert Hall – on stage because it was released in 1973.
He said: “It would be dated to put it out as it is now. We need to fix that area, but I know how to do it."
Even guitarist & songwriter Townshend's continuing battle with Tinnitus - a severe ringing in the ears - won’t stop the band.
Daltrey, 66, says that "it's nothing that can't be sorted out” & the band will just rely on different monitor systems & different on-stage volumes.
